By Pam Andrews
(Approx 45 min)
Hotel Bethlehem is like no hotel you have ever seen. Though the times are B.C., the hotel is filled with many of today's modern conveniences. You will find a valet for valet parking, a doorman, a bellman, a fine chef and maids to accommodate your every need. To the joy of the hotel management, Hotel Bethlehem has reached capacity. There is "No Vacancy!" A great bonus is in store for the hotel staff for all their hard work.
Then, out of the darkness of Bethlehem, there appears a young carpenter looking for a room for he and Mary, his wife to be. Mary is expecting a baby and Joseph is desperate to find a room. The doorman turns him away, leaving him dejected and worried. What can he do? A young stable boy, who is acting as the valet, helps him by allowing him to bring Mary to the stable behind the hotel. The stable boy loses his bonus for his deed, but gains Jesus. He then shares this good news with the hotel guests, shepherds and finally even his boss, the Hotel manager.
The joy of finding Jesus leads all of the hotel guests and staff to sing "Jesus, What a Wonderful child!" This musical will bring to life the Christmas Story and allow your children to put the true meaning of Christmas into their hearts and minds.
